WHAT IS CLOGGING/POWER TAP?
LaChere’s Fab Five is a clogging/power tap dance studio wherein dancers receive team instruction on the technique, steps, and details of clogging/power tap. Clogging/power tap is an exciting genre of dance that combines elements of clogging, tap, and many other forms of dance. It is usually but not exclusively performed to contemporary music that has been cut or beat-mixed to include the most exciting rhythms and sounds of the songs. Dancers wear tap shoes with a special split-sole that allow them to do fancy foot work on their toes. It is a very aerobic style of dance, progressive, exciting, and challenging. LaChere takes students from 3 and up, and where demand dictates will hold adult classes as well.
