Shoe Fixing Dilemma
UPDATE!!! Great news everyone.... One of our very own dance dads is going to take over fixing our shoes! YAY!! We are so excited. Jared Scoresby (Ember's dad) met with Dave (from Vickers) and bought his equipment...even his special nails!! He is going to charge the same as Dave, $2.50 a tap or $5 per shoe. You can call or text him anytime. His number is 208-201-5470. He will be fixing them out of his home. Their address is 1740 Beth Street in Pocatello. It would be a GREAT idea to check your dancer's shoes now and make sure they are ready to go for Nationals! Even if you only need a nail or two...give him a call!

We first want to THANK all of our dancers and families for your dedication over the last year. The dancers are doing so great and we are VERY proud of them!
We wanted to let you know that we have a FREE dance clinic on May 14th! The class will be 5:30-6:15pm. We’d love for your friends to come and try this class for FREE.

**We are working on putting together a slide show for our recital. If you have pictures you'd like included, please email them to Emily Wright at emilywrightishappy@gmail.com.
Our recital will be on Monday, May 19th and will be held at Pocatello High School. ALL dancers arrive dressed and ready to go by 6:00. We will run through our dances and then do a whole studio picture at 6:30pm. The recital will begin at 7:00pm. The line up list is coming soon... Thanks!
Wednesday, May 21st - End of the Year PARTY at Geronimos
Our PARTY will be at Geronimos from 4:30pm-5:30pm on Wednesday, May 21st! The group rate is $9.00/person. (Bring your own Geronimos socks or buy some) Come have a great time with your dancer friends! We'd love to see you all there. Parents are welcome to come visit and watch the kids. We will also have a meeting about next dance season from 4:45-5:15 at Geronimos.
Summer Solo Camp Dates
We are already looking ahead at our summer solo camps. If your dancer wants to move up to competition, two camps are required, but 3 camps are recommended. If your dancer wants to stay in the recreation program next year, we will offer super fun summer camps.

Please invite your family and friends to our FREE Winter Showcase! We'd love to have everyone come! This event is for our WHOLE studio. We need every dancer to be there! We are super excited to show everyone how much we've learned so far this season! The location will be the Blackfoot Performing Arts Center and the address is 870 Fisher St. Blackfoot, ID 83221.

*We hope to have all costumes (that are paid for) handed out by Monday, Jan 20th. All accounts must be current and a parent needs to sign for it. If you have fundraiser money, we will use that. If not, you will receive a statement and please PAY online, Venmo, or CASH. Thanks!

Monday, Jan 20th - Idaho State Championships - REGISTRATION DUE
We will be competing at the Idaho State Championships Competition here in Pocatello on Saturday, March 8th. We will let you know the time as soon as we can, but we need to collect the COMPETITION FEES by Jan 20th. We are competing our SOLOS (all 4 of them) and our TEAM dance. It is $21 per event, so each dancer owes $42. Please venmo or pay cash to LaChere. Thank you everyone!

This class is a great way for kids to:
Stay active and build confidence
Learn fun new dance skills

We are excited to announce our UPPER LEVELS Adult Clogging Team! This is for adults who have clogging experience and would like to come learn and have a great time. Check taps-make sure they are not sharp (we don't want to damage floors)
Periodically we like to do a taps check to make sure taps haven’t gotten so warn down that they are damaging floors. We especially want to make sure that all taps are in good condition for our upcoming showcase at the Blackfoot Performing Arts center. Please check your taps at home and let us know if you need to order new taps. We will also do a tap shoe check on our first day back….Jan 1st. If we find that there are any taps that might damage floors we will need to have you order new taps and get them replaced before our showcase!

Studio Wear
-We hope to have all of our orders ready for pick up by our last class in December. We will notify you as soon as they are in as to when pick up will be. We would like an adult to come and check your order, and sign for it when you come to pick it up.

Winter Showcase - Monday, Jan 27th
Due to a scheduling miscommunication, we will be having our Winter Showcase on Monday, January 27th. We would like you to keep Saturday, Jan 25th, open as a potential practice date since we are missing class time on Monday, the 27th. As an explanation...we will assess the need for an additional class time by class/level to make sure our dancers are ready for their upcoming competition. If it is determined that we need some extra class time, we will utilize Saturday, Jan 27th (or a possible date that weekend) as an additional practice.

Looking for something fun, active, and creative during the day? We’re excited to announce a dance class just for homeschoolers!
This class is a great way for kids to:
Stay active and build confidence
Learn fun new dance skills
Make friends with other homeschoolers

Don’t forget, tuition is due the 1st Monday of the month to receive the Early Bird Rate. If you pay the first class of the month you will receive the Early Bird rate. If you pay after the first week of the month, please add an additional $5 to your tuition.
*Just a reminder that we are not accepting checks anymore. There are 3 ways to pay. Those paying in cash, follow the 4 step process so that your payment gets applied correctly. THANKS!
#1. Venmo: This is a free app used to exchange money. Just search @LaChere-Vawdrey and then click on the blue Pay button. You can set this up to come out of your checking account or to be put on a credit card. Remember to use emojis in the memo section so that an extra fee will not be applied.
#2. Cash or Cashiers Check: if you choose to pay via cash please be sure to:

October is here and our new season and new teams are officially underway! All of our dancers are working hard, learning lots, and having fun along the way! Thanks for making the time to practice with your dancer each week! It really helps! Thanks for getting your dancer to class on time! Order your Practice/Performance shirt TODAY!
Studio Wear ….there is 1 required item
-ALL recreation AND competition students will need to order the black required shirt. Come try on the shirts so you know what size to order online
All other items are optional. If you are interested in any of the optional items please come try on the items so that you know what size you want to order online. If you want any of these items to be a surprise for a birthday or Christmas, email us and we will make sure to get it to you in secret so your dancer can enjoy the surprise.
We were not sent all sizes, but hope the sizes we have will help you in the ordering process.

All Around Solos
What are All Around Solos? Each year there 4 short dances called "All Around Solos". They are named for the type of solo they are. The 4 names of the solos are: Line, Show, Percussion, and Traditional. We (and your teacher) will try to keep you up-to-date on which one they are focusing on in class, so they can practice that one at home. Any encouragement from you to practice at home is greatly appreciated!
What is the Solo link? A link to our solos with a teaching section, a slow version, and a fast version of all 4 solos.
How much is access to the Solo link? It is $20.00 and it is an awesome tool that will help your dancer with his/her practice time at home. We decided to make access to the solo link OPTIONAL this year, but we STRONGLY recommend it. 
How do I get access to the Solo link? If your dancer is interested in this option, please email us and let us know and make the payment of $20 to the LaChere and we will get it ordered for you.
